Your personal NRI rehabilitation program

Step 1 - Your initial inquiry

Many people who contact us are looking for a different approach to neurological rehabilitation, often after progress has slowed or their needs have changed.

Your first step is a private, thoughtful discussion with a member of our team, either over the phone or at our center in Montclair.

We take time to understand:

  • Where you are now

  • Your diagnosis and rehabilitation journey so far

  • What challenges you are experiencing

  • What goals still matter to you

We will also review practical considerations, including basic physical requirements, to help determine whether the Outbounder system may be suitable.

This is not about committing to a program. It is simply an opportunity to explore whether NRI could be right for you.

Step 2 - Learn more

If appropriate, you’ll be invited to visit our Montclair center and learn more about our approach.

Our programs combine clinical oversight, purposeful movement, repetition and active participation, with the Outbounder Advanced Rehabilitation System used as one part of an individualized approach.

During your visit, you will:

  • Meet our team

  • Learn more about the Outbounder first-hand

  • Understand how sessions are adapted to individual abilities and goals

  • Ask questions about how the NRI approach could fit your needs

Rehabilitation should be active and purposeful. Our aim is to create an environment that encourages participation, engagement and meaningful movement.

Step 3 - Assessment & Personalized Plan

If you choose to move forward, a member of our clinical team will conduct a comprehensive assessment to establish:

  • Your medical and functional baseline

  • Your rehabilitation goals

  • Suitability for our program

From there, we develop an individualized rehabilitation plan built around:

  • Movement and activity

  • Repetition

  • Engagement

  • Measurable goals and progress

Each program is adapted to the individual and delivered with clinical oversight.

We also recognize that neurological conditions often affect families as well as individuals. Spouses, partners, adult children and caregivers are welcome to be involved in the assessment process and ongoing journey.

Programs are tailored to the individual and may include multiple weekly sessions over several weeks

The NRI approach

At NRI, every person and every rehabilitation journey is different.

Our aim is to provide a supportive, clinically guided environment in which clients can remain active, engaged and working towards the goals that matter to them.
